The Wedding!

The big day arrived. Girls poofed their hair, guys straightened their ties and everyone ate, drank and got rather 'merry'.

Twas the sister of Mr Boyfriend, she was marrying an american which made it all extra special and different with many guests from across the pond!

Kick off was at 3pm in Highgate followed by the reception in Hackney.

Amazing bridesmaids dresses!

This was one of my favourite bits - an old route master to ferry the party onto the reception!

Highgate Hill. We sat at the front like school girls.

This awesome wedding cake was handmade by the bride's sister - for some reason it reminds me of a cake from Alice in Wonderland. She made the sugar roses! (I ate 1 or 2).

The Londesborough pub was such a good venue, pork pies and pimms were served upon arrival.

It was full of really good art which I longed to take home.

We each got these adorable sweetie parcels in lieu of the traditional sugared almonds or whatnot. Mine were speedily devoured, I can never resist a drumstick.

Who is that hansome man??

Ah the father of the bride speech. The poor man was shaking but it went very well, especially when he threw boxes of tea to the crowd at the end in celebration of our nation's treasure - the cup of tea.

The best man speech - in traditional american style it was funny, moving and oh so american... in the best way of course.

The girlfriends! The one in pink is one of my faves, she's a riot.

Eton Mess. Of course.

OMG. The best friend of the bride and groom, she's totally mental :)

Had to capture the moment before it went gob-wards.

The cake maker and her beau. She did such a smashing job, particularly with the hen party I'm told (which I was too sick to attend, worse luck).

A very bad photo but you get the idea.
Congratulations to Nansi and Sean!
